Friendemic
As a local social media agency, Friendemic's biggest challenge is brand awareness with local businesses who could utilize their services. In need of an awareness campaign, I took the role of creative director and managed a team of 8 writers/designers to develop a campaign to help boost our perception in the local market. Our idea, #FriendemicLove, was based around the idea of digital valentines day cards. Leading my team, we developed customized valentines cards for local Utah businesses utilizing the hashtag #FriendemicLove. On Valentine's Day, we released 15 cards starting at 8am and 1 card every 15 minutes until the end of the day. We also had a team in place to design and create on the fly cards, as we also received requests from Twitter fans and businesses to get their own card made for them. Together, we were able to reach over 300,000 organic impressions on Twitter, and get responses from companies like Digorno Pizza, Skullcandy, RC Willey, Real Salt Lake, Squatters Beer, Downtown Alliance, local celebrities, and many influential targeted people we were seeking to do business with. Our sales team also sold an additional 5 accounts in the week following our campaign, all of which cold called the business after seeing our Valentines Day Cards. This campaign was also successful in opening doors for futures business ventures for Friendemic, and of course, making some additional friends in Salt Lake City.
